Odyssey of Humanity 501 (c)(3) is a not-for profit organization that in relationship with Idea Connection Systems, Inc. oversees Mosaic Methods’ operation and implementation in communities and organizations. Odyssey of Humanity housed the earliest form of Mosaic Methods which was called the Rochester Biracial Partnerships Program, an initiative that started with the Mayor’s Task Force on Race and Ethnicity in 2000. The program’s primary goal was bridging social and racial gaps by bringing individuals together to develop focused one-on-one relationships with persons of other backgrounds. Over the next decade, hundreds of people in cities such as Greensboro, NC and Milwaukee, WI have been paired up in guided partnerships through which they were able to develop trust and friendship, as well as a shared community commitment. As the approach has evolved to include teams and organization change management initiatives, operations continue to be managed by Odyssey of Humanity and Idea Connection Systems.
